Very true the bluray player is awsome, and if it wasnt for the bluray player i would have thrown my ps3 in the bin by now.
And true you have to pay online, but when comparing the 2 online services i would happily pay alot more to have XBL then PSN. Reasons being:-

1. Partys - On the ps3 you can only talk to people in the same game as you, which becomes frustrating as games these days seem to be full of 12 yr old kids screaming swear words and how there gona screw each others mother (and of course the reasons its frustrating is because nobody can hear me screaming swear words and how im gona screw every ones mom )
Where as on the 360 you have partys, so for instance when you, hemi and wupper all get your 360s, you can be on cod, hemi on l4d, wupper on er... some girly game and me on borderlands, but we still can all talk to each other. Or we can all be in the same game and talk to each other with out hearing the annoying kids.

2. Downloading - Like tiddles said it seems downloading on the 360 is a lot faster then on the ps3, for instance with the NXE (which was a update which complety changed the front end of the xbox) i thought itd take ages to download and install as it was a huge update, but it had finished by the time i went to the toilet and came down to check on it.

3. Delays - im not sure if the ps3 still has the uber delay problems, but the tekken online patch took forever to come out in the UK (think if i remember right it was over a year) it was just a bit of code to let people go online i dont understand how it took them so long to get it out.
Lets not forget home, which is gona be out next month, oh wait did i say next month i meant in a few month, oh wait did i say a few month i meant next year etc etc. Took them forever to get it out.

4. Crap EU store - Again i dont know if its still like this, but the diffrences between stores annoyed me, US and Jap always got amazing stuff before us and cheaper. Just take home for instance, have you seen the differences between our home and the other? We get the worst one and the damn things made in the UK lol.

5. Exclusive - XBL tends to get alot of content (fallout 3, GTA etc) before the ps3

Console wise heres my problems:-

1. Installing - One thing that really bugged me about the ps3 was having to install things to HDD before playing the game. So fristrating having to do that before playing a game, then uninstalling it later on to save space, then if you want to play it again you got to go through the whole process again. At first it thought it may make games quicker to load, but i have burnout paradise and DMC4 on both systems, and it actually seems BP is quicker to load on the 360 then the ps3.

2. True the ps3 is meant to be alot more powerfull, i think MM said LBP couldnt be made ported to the 360 and also MGS 4 (by the way the awesomeness of mgs 4 voids all of my whining about the ps3)
But alot of games made on both systems seem to be worse on the ps3, like this comparison of ghostbusters:-


3. Sonys choice of games - I think it was last year when Sony announced it was dumping the getaway 2 and another good looking game for eye pet, i did a huge post whining about it on EvT how sony was stupid for choosing eye pet over the other 2 games as it was just a gimicky game no one would be stupid enough to go out and buy (although of course im a hypocritical douchbag and i bought it ) But even though i did buy it, my point still stands i think it would have been better dumping Eye pet and sticking with at least the getaway.

4. Movies - I can watch movies on demand for free on the 360 thanks to the sky player.

Any ways theres my rant on how the 360 is better and yes im very bored with nothing to do at the moment, so post a reply quick so i can do another huge post im bored damnit! hehehe

I have ghostbusters ( well did before i traded it in for tekken..) and i can tell you that the graphics where not like that unless you are running it on the crappy TV ( which i have now my plasma TV broke !!!!!!!! ) but then it would be the same both consoles

You do know that the UK/Europe store got the avp demo about 6/12 hours BEFORE the Northern US got it , so the statement everyone gets everything before UK store isnt true,


Yes the xbox does get some exclusives on certen games, but to be fair we get them a sort while later anyway ( usally within 3/7 days ) i'd rather NOT pay and wait a few days

I personally have never had a problem downloading my average speed while downloading anything from games/music/updates is about 300/600 KBS as i said in a earlyer post the avp demo which is 1400MB only took 20/25 min's


Home i will agree is the most pointless thing in the world i have only never loaded it up once about 2 years ago and not touched it since!

While sony have made some boob choices with their list of games they have made some great ones as well Little big planet for example is a damn good laugh, Dead space ( 2 is coming out soon ) is another one and some others, which are ofcourse PS3 exclusive

You see there is the problem with the xbox it's such a cheap console that ALL the 10/15 year olds have one so it means that you get all those moaning little kids shouting and screeming, i'm not saying there isnt some of them on the ps3 however out of about 20 games of CoD MW2 i bet only 1 of them has moaning kids ( the rest are moaning adults lol ) Whereas the PS3 aimed at the more "adult" gamer

woot! i didnt know they were making a DS2 (been under a rock for a while) i may just dust off the ps3 if its a exclusive.

Yeah home sucks lol, cant believe i waited years in anticipation for that, all though i went back about a year ago and they had turned it in to a game where you had to find a secret place in the home and do lots of other stuff, it looked like it had alot of potential but i think they stopped it which sucks.

Ooo btw do you still have BBC i player on your ps3? i went on mine the otherday and its dissapered.

deadspace 2 is being released on the ps3 and x360 . but its been announced that the pc version as been dropped

yeah it realy sucks to have a ps3...uhu

oh and the deadspace franchise isnt exclusive offcourse

God of War 3 is coming out soon, and Yakuza 3 has the release date of 16 march. Wich are both great exclusive titles. Dont forget wipeout hd wich runs @ 60fps 1080...hell yeah. GT5 will also run @ this speed.

And another thing : The trophy system is waaaaay beter then the achivements on xbox. Im hooked, and can generaly say im a damn trophy whore...currently working on the platinum for Bioshock (wich is also amazing and has exclusive content for ps3...and xbox has...nothing)

Little Big Planet is amazing and soon we have our own "Mario Cart" with level editor exclusive for ps3.(Mod Racers hell yeah) And dont forget "Agent", a rockstargame exclusive for ps3.

Both systems have their + and -. And sure, ps3's network isnt "that" good. But @ least it doesnt break. 360 is currently diggin its own grave since allot of people are switching sides because of the RRoD (look @ vg charts, 360 lost the fight over 6 months now and the gap is closing in)

Ps3 is on the rebound, and is hitting back HARD.

But enough about wich system is better. Fanboyism is childish, and has no place on this forum to my opinion. Im shutting up about it. You enjoy your console of choise and ill enjoy mine.

Hows the trophy system different on the ps3 to the 360? I thought it was the same expect the ps3 you cant have on online signatures (unless you manualy update them yourself)

I loved uncharted but havent played the second yet, also cant wait for GOW 3.
But the 360 has Crackdown 2, fable 3 and halo reach comming this year. Although i didnt see the fuss about crackdown 1.

But lets not forget the best thing about the 360, you dont need to constantly dust it! lol, with the ps3, i clean the dust off it and it just sticks to my sony bravia, i clean the dust of the bravia and it goes back to the damn ps3 lol, that piano black stuff is a nightmare!

Man im gona find this hard, EvT whilst being a forum is technically just one big thread that goes every where and no where.
